  2. Not sure you would really call it a UFO but here is an attempt to describe
  3. what I saw.
  4.  
  5. My location - proceeding easterly on Smyth Road in Ottawa, Ontario at
  6. Vincent Massey Public School.
  7.  
  8. The time was between 0120 and 0125 EST.
  9.  
  10. The "object" appeared approximately 30 degrees to my left. 
  11. It was descending to my left at approx. a 40 degree angle.
  12. It appeared to be getting closer.
  13.  
  14. It was very bright and very white compared to other shooting stars I have
  15. seen.
  16.  
  17. It appeared to be burning very vigorously with lots of "sparks" flying off.
  18. It seemed to fizzel out just before it would have disappeared from view.
  19.  
  20. Have some difficulty describing the size; possibly the center portion and
  21. the area of dense sparks surrounded it might have been close to the size
  22. of a dime at arms length.  It trailed sparks slightly possible 3 diameters.

  24. It was moving at a high velocity.

  26. The distance and speed being difficult to estimate; it left the impression
  27. of being very close, such that it may have landed in Gatineau.  This would
  28. suggest that the speed would exceed that of aircraft.
  29.  
  30. I would estimate I followed its path for 2-3 seconds.
  31. The dominant impression was of its whiteness and brightness.
  32.
